In the 1960s, the Amato family - Romano, Rosa, and their two sons Giancarlo and Gigi - left their Italian hometown of Solino to start a new life in Duisburg, Germany. They opened the first pizza restaurant in town, which became a huge success. As the years passed, the brothers adapted to their new surroundings and built their own lives. However, their paths diverged when they both fell in love with the same woman, leading to a bitter feud and Gigi's eventual return to Solino with his mother.
