Clay Tallant, a composite of American-frontier lawmen like Wyatt Earp, arrives in 1880s Silver City, Arizona, to find widespread lawlessness and corruption. He becomes the town marshal and, with the help of his brother and a reformed outlaw, Tex Randolph, he works to bring order to the chaotic town. Along the way, he also wins the heart of the Opera House's talented singer.
