On a relaxing cruise, a struggling journalist named Steve Bramley seeks to overcome his drinking problem and write a book. Joining him is his detective friend Schulte, who's on the hunt for a thief with a stash of stolen bonds. As Steve becomes immersed in the lives of fellow passengers, he discovers that not everyone is who they claim to be.
