Eddie Bennett, a cunning Three-card Monte dealer, is offered a deal by a mysterious man: in exchange for eternal redemption, Eddie must transfer his spirit to an ailing Santa Claus's body for three weeks. The catch is that Eddie will be paid a million dollars. Initially hesitant, Eddie takes the deal and finds himself in Santa's body, but as he observes Santa's joyous interactions with children, he begins to question the true meaning of Christmas. As he falls in love with Santa's daughter, Eddie must confront his greedy friends and ultimately allow Santa his final Christmas Eve, discovering the value of redemption and the spirit of the holiday season.
