In medieval times, a church was constructed on top of a mass grave believed to be inhabited by malevolent spirits. Centuries later, a young librarian unwittingly releases the evil by disturbing the tomb, triggering a series of bizarre occurrences and transformations in the townspeople. As the city descends into chaos, Father Gus, the only one immune to the possession, embarks on a quest to uncover the ancient secret behind the church's construction, with the hope of causing it to collapse and restoring order.
