Joan Hollingsworth, the younger sister of Ethel, has different ideas about fairness than their mother, who believes Ethel deserves all the advantages until she gets married. When Joan is forbidden from attending a dinner party for socialite J. Waldo Barnes, she disguises herself as the family maid to attend the event. Her plan is discovered by her mother, so she sneaks out and gets a ride from a burglar who thinks she's one of his accomplices. After a car accident, Joan escapes on foot and is caught by motorcycle policeman Michael, who believes her story of being a maid at the estate. With the help of the nearsighted housekeeper, Mrs. Wiggins, Joan's impersonation continues, but she soon finds herself trapped in the mansion when the owner returns, thinking she's a female "Raffles" in need of reform.
The Kid Sister
Ethel's younger sister Joan disputes their mother's plan to give Ethel all family benefits until she gets married, insisting that she deserves an equal share.
