A woodpecker's car breaks down and he takes out a loan from a wolf, but the wolf threatens to repossess the car if payment isn't made within thirty days. When the wolf tries to collect, the woodpecker evades him by pretending to be out, then tricks him into throwing a cake in his face. After the wolf believes he has injured the woodpecker, he agrees to forgive the debt, only to be asked for a loan on a cuckoo clock instead.
