A young boy, thought to be cursed with bad luck, embarks on a perilous journey through Laos with his family and new friends, seeking a fresh start. Along the way, they face numerous challenges in a region still reeling from the effects of war. To demonstrate his innocence, the boy constructs a massive rocket to participate in the thrilling and hazardous Rocket Festival, the most anticipated event of the year.
