In the 1990s, the CIA created a secret group of spies, known as Sleepers, who can connect with people in their dreams. This covert espionage unit gathered intelligence that was previously unattainable. Sleepers could infiltrate the minds of world leaders through the Dreamlink. The program remained a closely guarded secret until someone within the NSA discovered it and trained its own Sleeper Agent as an untraceable assassin.
