A group of affluent hikers venture into the wilderness, underestimating their ability to cope with the harsh environment and their predicament. As days turn into weeks, they become increasingly exhausted, starving, and desperate, their situation worsened by a failed attempt to scavenge food from a pair of epicureans. As the group dwindles, the survivors are forced to ration their remaining meat, imbuing the act with a sense of ritual.
