In the sweltering summer of 1994, a young man named Luke navigates the ups and downs of coming of age in New York City. Fresh out of high school, Luke sells marijuana and seeks therapy from Dr. Jeffrey Squires, who becomes a mentor and confidant. As Luke's relationships with those around him evolve, he finds himself drawn to Stephanie, a classmate who is out of his league but becomes increasingly close.
