Thoroughly Modern Millie

In the 1922 New York City, Millie Dillmount, a modern young woman with a new haircut and fashion sense, lives at the Priscilla Hotel for Single Young Ladies. She aspires to become a stenographer and catch the eye of her wealthy boss, Trevor Graydon. However, she finds herself attracted to Jimmy Smith, a paper clip salesman with a happy-go-lucky attitude. Meanwhile, Millie's friend Miss Dorothy Brown, a naive and old-fashioned girl, disappears without a word, leading Millie to investigate with the help of Mr. Graydon and Jimmy.
