In London 1938, on the Chinese New Year, a legend says that if three strangers gather before an idol of Kwan Yin, the Chinese goddess of fortune and destiny, and make a common wish, their desire will be granted. Crystal Shackleford decides to test this legend by recruiting two random strangers to join her in making a wish. They choose to wish for a winning sweepstakes ticket, hoping to share the prize equally.
