Ed, a canal expert, is approached by the local police to help solve the murders of two sewer workers. However, Ed soon discovers that the killer is actually his former friend Daggat, who seeks revenge for a past incident in Vietnam where Ed failed to save his life. Ed's half-Vietnamese teenage son Rick decides to follow him, hoping to either help him or take revenge against Daggat on his behalf.
