West of Wyoming background

West of Wyoming

A cunning rancher masquerades as a farmhand while employing a ruthless gang to steal gold-rich lands from his neighbors.

Simon Miller, a ruthless rancher, employs a gang of killers to steal gold-bearing properties from neighboring ranchers. However, when an Interior Department agent arrives with news of the territory's opening to homesteaders, Miller and his gang vow to keep them out. As the wagon train approaches, two outlaws pose as government guides, poisoning the horses and causing chaos. Meanwhile, Terry Draper, Miller's grandson, joins the wagon train and is eventually killed by one of the outlaws. With the help of Panhandle Jones, Johnny Mack Brown, the Interior Department agent, takes down the entire gang in a gunfight, forcing Miller to change his ways and open his land to settlers.
