Walter Calvert demands a share of his brother Henry's family fortune, threatening to kill him if he doesn't comply. When Henry's car goes over a cliff and he's presumed dead, detective Bob Stewart starts an investigation with the help of newspaper reporter Duke Ellis. As they question the family members, they uncover a plot by Henry's brother Patton and a mysterious figure known as The Voice to kill the relatives and divide the inheritance.
