Ace reporter Don Stevens is sent to Beirut, Lebanon to cover the Lebanese civil war, where he befriends journalist Mike Jessop. After securing an exclusive interview with the Palestine Liberation Organization's leader, Stevens discovers it was an impersonator. To save his reputation and career, Stevens investigates the setup, but finds himself in danger as all three sides in the war try to stop him. He eventually meets a Scandinavian doctor, Linda Larsen, who may be able to take him to the real leader, Abu-Riadd.
