Ai yori aoku
The 12th NHK Asadora series explores the lives of women in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture, during World War II's final stages. Maki, the main character, is a wife and mother, managing a business and Chinese restaurant while her husband Shuichi fights abroad, taking on the roles of war widows.
