009-1: The End of the Beginning

In a world divided into two powers, a border zone called J-Country serves as a battleground for their never-ending conflict. Mylene, a western block undercover agent, has been hiding out in J-Country investigating human trafficking and meets Chris, a young man. After completing her mission and returning to headquarters, she becomes obsessed with Chris. Her next mission is to recover Dr. Klein, a cyborg scientist who was kidnapped by the Eastern Block and is responsible for her own cyborg enhancements. During the briefing, Mylene discovers a name that sparks memories from her past. When she breaks into the laboratory to rescue Dr. Klein, she finds Chris being used as an experimental guinea pig, but fails to complete her mission. Her license is revoked, and she sets out to uncover her true identity and recover her memories.
