A Fable

A black radical's life is upended when his ex-wife and children welcome a white man into their home, but their newfound unity is shattered by a violent and shocking event that exposes the radical's troubled past.

A tense and tragic drama that exposes the devastating effects of racism in America, highlighting both the racism perpetrated by whites and the internalized racism within the black community. The story, based on LeRoi Jones' play Slaves, follows a black revolutionary leader, played by Al Freeman Jr., who returns to exact revenge on his ex-wife for marrying a white liberal and their daughters for staying with her. The intense confrontation unfolds in the family's living room, where each character remains resolute in their beliefs, particularly the protagonist.
