Alison Shaw, a talented artist, and her husband Darris, a construction worker, flee Toronto after a traumatic attack and settle in a rural Ontario town. They find a sense of community, with David Snow becoming a close friend and business partner, helping Darris with an antiques venture and showcasing Alison's art. However, Alison becomes convinced that David is a serial killer targeting women who resemble her, despite his impeccable reputation.
