In the 1980s, unemployed typesetter Toivo discovers his exceptionally powerful blood can improve athletes' performance, leading him to join Finland's ski team as a human blood-tank. He works closely with talented skier Aino, and together they achieve great success. However, a disaster threatens to jeopardize their chances at Olympic victory, and Toivo must use his unique blood to save the day.
