In the sweltering summer of 1967, three 17-year-old girls from different cultural backgrounds come of age on the sun-kissed beach of La Goulette, Tunisia. Gigi, Sicilian and Catholic, Meriem, Tunisian and Arab, and Tina, French and Jewish, long to experience their first sexual encounters, defying the expectations of their families. Meanwhile, their fathers, Youssef, Jojo, and Giuseppe, old friends and business partners, find their relationships tested by their daughters' newfound independence. Against this backdrop of cultural and social change, Hadj, a wealthy Arab, sets his sights on Meriem, further complicating the complex web of relationships and desires.
