A Wicked Woman

A desperate mother, carrying a child, is brutally betrayed when her husband flees, leaving her and their innocent son destitute and shattered.

Naomi's life is turned upside down when her husband Ed abandons her, taking their oldest son and all their money, leaving her with no choice but to fend for herself. After a tragic confrontation, Ed's body is found in the swamp, and Naomi decides to keep his death a secret. She starts anew in town, eventually opening her own sewing shop, "Naomi's", while raising her children on her own. Years later, she falls in love with a newspaperman, Naylor, and feels compelled to return to her past, ultimately taking a train ride back to face the consequences of her actions.
