Aleister Crowley, inspired by a true story, establishes a Thelemic Commune in Cefalu, Sicily, after a tumultuous love triangle with two women, Leah Hirsig and Ninette Shumway. The commune, known as the Abbey of Thelema, attracts a diverse group of individuals, including artists, writers, and intellectuals. However, the community is plagued by conflicts, deaths, and bad publicity, ultimately leading to Crowley's deportation from Sicily.
