Abie's Irish Rose background

Abie's Irish Rose

Forbidden love flourishes between a Jewish youth and an Irish maiden, defying the cultural barriers between their families as they take a perilous leap to be together.

In this romantic drama, two young lovers from different backgrounds, Rosemary and Abie, face opposition from their families when they decide to get married. Despite their parents' disapproval, the couple gets married three times - once by a Protestant minister, once by a Jewish rabbi, and once by a Catholic priest. The film explores the cultural and religious differences between the two families, but ultimately finds a way for the families to come together and accept their children's choices.
