The leader of a violent Ku Klux Klan lodge is killed, and his teenage son Eric Natter is taken into police custody. As four cops transport him to a safe-house, they are ambushed, resulting in the deaths of three officers, including Deputy Lawrence. Jerry Robinson, a black police officer, is wrongly accused of the murders.
