Belle & Sebastian

In the French Alps, 1943, orphan Sébastien lives with his grandfather and aunt, dreaming of his mother who he believes is in America. He's expecting a special watch with a compass as a gift. Meanwhile, a French doctor secretly helps Jewish refugees escape to Switzerland, while a German officer and his troops hunt down the resistance. When sheep are found slaughtered, the villagers blame a mistreated dog, Belle, and hunt her down. Sébastien befriends Belle and must find a way to save her from the wrath of the community.
