Two high school graduates, Alice and Darlene, embark on a trip to Thailand to celebrate their achievement. They meet a charismatic Australian, Nick Parks, who convinces them to take a detour to Hong Kong. However, their adventure takes a drastic turn when they're caught for drug smuggling at the airport. Convicted in a biased trial, they're sentenced to 33 years. In a last-ditch effort, they seek the help of Yankee Hank, an American lawyer with a reputation for being influential if you're willing to pay the price.
