In this comedy, a dance troupe from Topeka, Kansas, led by a 260-pound dancer, sets out on a journey to find success after their fun park is slated to close. The group, now known as "The Stupendous Six," competes against other dancers to earn a spot in the Little Miss Orange County Beauty Pageant's grand finale. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including an airhead, a sex-obsessed woman, a gay man, and an African-American member who often misuses black slang. The film features numerous cameos from TV stars and draws inspiration from "The Full Monty" rather than other major dance films.
