Capturing the Friedmans background

Capturing the Friedmans

The quiet routine of a Jewish family is shattered when the patriarch and his youngest son are suddenly accused of committing heinous and disturbing acts.

The Friedman family, a seemingly typical middle-class American family in the late 1980s, hid a dark secret. Father Arnold, a respected computer and music teacher, was buying and distributing child pornography. An investigation revealed he was sexually abusing minor-aged male students in his basement computer classes. His 18-year-old son Jesse was also charged and convicted of similar crimes.
