Neal, a charismatic sociopath, is released from prison and sets out to reconnect with his past, visiting his parents, his son, and the grave of his horse. However, his primary goal is to rejoin his old gang in the Northside's "pony club" subculture, a group of urban cowboys who ride horses through Dublin's streets without saddles or reins. His plans are soon disrupted by an unexpected encounter with the informant who betrayed him.
