Filmmaker Jack Bond collaborated with Salvador Dali in 1965 to create the entertaining film Dali in New York. Dali spent two weeks bringing his surreal visions to life, using a plaster cast to perform "manifestations" with a thousand ants and one million dollars in cash. The film features a dramatic confrontation between Dali and feminist writer Jane Arden, as well as recollections of his meetings with Freud and his wife Gala. The cinematography by Jim Desmond showcases Dali painting, accompanied by the music of Flamenco virtuoso Manitas de Plata.
