DeLorean background

DeLorean

John DeLorean left a promising career at General Motors, where he was poised to become president, to pursue his ambitious vision of establishing a new American automobile company in 1973.

John DeLorean left his lucrative job at General Motors to build his own car company, the first new American car company since 1925. In 1978, he built a state-of-the-art factory in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in just 18 months. The film follows DeLorean's automotive adventure, taking us to the Geneva auto show, designer Guigiaro's studio-factory, and DeLorean's Belfast assembly plant, where workers from both Protestant and Catholic backgrounds came together to build the iconic DeLorean car.
