In post-war Germany, Dutchman Simon Van Halder is wrongly accused of killing a British soldier. Despite being innocent, Simon confessed to the crime to obtain penicillin for his illness. He was captured, sentenced to life in prison, and his girlfriend Anna was told to be dead. Simon escapes from prison and teams up with Anna to clear his name, but they face numerous challenges as they track down his former accomplices and the real killer, while evading British and German authorities.
