In the midst of World War II, a team of US Navy meteorologists bravely battles the harsh conditions of the Gobi Desert, outsmarting Japanese aerial attacks while forging unexpected friendships with Mongolian nomadic tribes.

In this World War II drama, a group of US Navy weathermen find themselves stranded in the Gobi desert after their ship is attacked by the Japanese air force. To survive, they must seek the help of Mongol nomads, who agree to assist them in exchange for a reward: an airlift of the finest saddles.
