Azazel, a fallen angel, has teamed up with Hermes to resurrect the Nephilim, demigod children that would destroy the world. However, Shemihazya, another fallen angel, has been summoned by the Summer Faerie Queen to stop this from happening and has joined forces with Hecate, forcing her to help him by possessing her lover's body. The gods and angels clash in a battle across city streets and the spirit world, while the Faerie Queens wage a civil war, with Winter seeking to dominate Summer.
