In the wealthy, tradition-bound Lenox family on Long Island, a younger generation is eager to break free from societal norms. When a chorus girl becomes involved with the family's son, Bronson, the patriarch, is determined to investigate, much to his wife's dismay. As the family navigates love and relationships, they must confront their own values and traditions. Ultimately, the family comes to accept the choices of the younger generation, leading to a double wedding with everyone's blessings.
