In Nazi-occupied Norway during World War 2, a Norwegian woman named Nicole Larsen is engaged to the German commandant, Maj. Paul Dichter. However, unbeknownst to the locals, Nicole is a member of the Resistance and a British S.O.E. agent, sent to collect intelligence and pass it to London. Her relationship with Maj. Dichter is a front to gather information without arousing suspicion. But as the German commanders become suspicious of her, Nicole's fiancé and lover initially defends her before eventually setting a trap to test her loyalty.
