In Bangkok, a groom-to-be has terrifying nightmares about a ghost woman, Mae Nak, from Thai legend. His fiancée Nak visits an old house with a real estate agent, but after their wedding, thieves steal their belongings. When Mak chases the thieves, he's run over and falls into a coma. Mae Nak's spirit possesses Mak, but Nak finds a way to exorcise her and free Mak's soul.
