A restless young man, unable to find success in his small hometown, heads to New York City, only to be overwhelmed by the city's fast pace. He soon abandons his plans and tries his hand at being a cowboy on a ranch, where he surprisingly finds success. However, when the ranch is faced with financial ruin and must transport 100 head of cattle to Los Angeles, the young man takes on a daring mission to get the cattle to their destination, despite the objections of his neighbor who seeks a better deal.
