In Berlin's "young creative class", life is a career, love is casual, and happiness is measured by detachment. When photographer Marianne, 30, discovers she's pregnant, her perspective shifts. But after a model dies on a photo shoot, a dark and chaotic world of lies and mistrust emerges. The film is a series of interconnected anecdotes, following Marianne's journey from fragile love to betrayal, complicity, and self-destruction, with twists that are both comical and poignant, set in a never-before-seen contemporary Berlin.
