American teenager Daisy is sent to live with her Aunt Penn in the English countryside after her father sends her away from New York City. She is welcomed by her cousins and their friend Joe, but struggles with feelings of resentment and being cursed after her mother's death. As tensions rise due to an imminent terrorist attack, Daisy and her cousins find themselves in the midst of a nuclear attack on London and subsequent state of siege. Amidst the chaos, Daisy falls in love with her cousin Eddie, but they are separated by the military.
