Jackie Brown, a middle-aged stewardess, smuggles money from Mexico to Los Angeles for arms dealer Ordell Robbie. After getting caught with $10,000 and cocaine, she's offered a deal by agents Ray Nicolet and Mark Dargus: help them arrest Ordell in exchange for her freedom. Meanwhile, Ordell hires bail bond runner Max Cherry to release Jackie, intending to kill her. But Jackie senses Ordell's plan and concocts a complex scheme with Max to steal half a million dollars from him.
