In the dark underbelly of São Paulo, a former American gangster, Sinatra, runs a brothel with his son Paul, who struggles with addiction. When a client is killed, they stumble upon a stash of drugs and schedule a meeting with African buyers. Sinatra tasks a Nigerian dishwasher, Wemba, with completing the deal in exchange for a large sum. However, Wemba's encounter with thieves leads to a series of miscommunications, ultimately resulting in a tragic outcome.
