A tranquil domestic setting is disrupted when the husband's secret lover unexpectedly arrives, revealing the underlying flaws in the couple's idyllic relationship.

Kitty, a dowdy housewife, leaves her self-centered husband after his mistress arrives, seeking to break up their marriage. Three years later, Bob, now bored with his life, is at a wealthy matron's home, romancing her granddaughter. The matron invites Kitty to a weekend party, hoping she'll steal Bob away from the granddaughter. At the party, Kitty and Bob pretend they don't know each other, and Bob pursues both his ex-wife and new conquest.
