The Little Einsteins, a group of four friends, meet a monarch caterpillar who sings a song called "Buggy Wuggy". They help the caterpillar, who gets separated from his family, and join him on a journey to find his family. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and musical creatures, including cows, who help them on their mission. In the end, they successfully retrieve the caterpillar's invitation to a butterfly festival and celebrate with a reprise of "Buggy Wuggy".
