A young man from New Mexico, believed to be dying from radioactive poisoning, is convinced by a reporter to visit New York for a series of articles. However, the diagnosis turns out to be a mistake, and he's actually healthy. Despite this, he and his doctor continue the charade, and everyone in New York takes pity on him.
