In the small village of Robanda, on the edge of Serengeti National Park, a cattle herder named Rugari and his family face a precarious existence. Meanwhile, a lioness and her cubs navigate the harsh conditions of the Serengeti, their lives marked by discovery and hardship. As the dry season sets in, the lions become desperate and begin to threaten the villagers' livestock. Rugari's daughter Nyange is drawn to the lions, and her father is torn between protecting their cattle and the danger of poisoning the lions, which could lead to imprisonment. Nyange insists that there must be another way, and the family must find a solution to coexist with the lions.
