Miklós Fenyö's parents returned to Hungary in the mid-1960s, unlike others who fled to the West. Young Miki, with his Hawaiian shirt, perfect quiff, and rebellious attitude, struggled to adapt to life under communism. His friends were perplexed by his American accent, Buddy Holly records, and bold fashion. His childhood sweetheart was distant, and local tough guy Röné saw him as a threat. The authorities deemed Miki's music and dancing too provocative, threatening his father's job. To save his father's job, Miki reluctantly entered a local talent show, paving the way for rock 'n' roll history.
